Home in Waterville

Frank arrived home in Waterville on Saturday. Becky and Jeannette drove him home from Rochester (where Pat lives) and, of couse, Eloise was along. He took the trip fairly well (11 hours in the van).

Hospice is coming on Monday to see what they can do to keep him comfortable. Frank is experiencing quite a bit of pain in his right side and has trouble eating. He is still able to have a small bowl of his much-loved oatmeal for breakfast and seems to enjoy soup. Otherwise, he is sleeping most of the time. Your messages of love and concern are being relayed to him, and it brings him much comfort to know of your prayers on his behalf. He is already receiving many cards, and they are lined up on Eloise's buffet for him to enjoy.

Dear Frank and family: Be assured of our consistent and daily prayers. Life is always a battle, and we know our Lord will give you and your family, the grace and strength to meet this difficult event in your life.

When we are confronted with our mortality, life truly takes on new meaning. We must take the Lord's hand and live as He commanded "one day at a time".

You, as a preacher of the gospel, missionary, counselor, and friend to hundreds, if not thousands of others, will demonstrate to us how a believer is to live in such situation. I know, as we read your homepage, that we too, will receive encouragement, blessings, and the Lord will continue to direct you in ways no one thought possible.

We will be in daily contact via the homepage.

God bless you our dear Brother, and may Eloise, the children, grandchildren, and great, be a help and encouragement too. ALL will be in our daily prayers before the God of heaven. Love, Ted and Dean

Dear Brother Frank
I want to express to you how much you have meant to me since I was a very young man. You've always managed to keep in touch through the years and that has meant so much to me because I know how many people you know and keep track of, and I'm so blessed to be one of them.
In so many of the letters written to me you would write Phillipians 3 and 4 at the bottom. And I would like to say that "I thank my God in all my rememberances of you" (to borrow from the Word) Your steadfast faith and love of the Lord has taught me how important it is to seek Him. I know there are hundreds that you have touched in this way, not only through your preaching but even more importantly by example. I love you, Frank and will pray for God's strength and comfort in this critical time of your life.
Lynn
PS my wife Sharon also sends her prayers and best wishes

Frank and family-
We are so grateful you have established this homepage for all of us who love and care about Frank and your family. We are saddened to hear that Frank is not well - he was the picture of health and it was such a treat to see you both while you were in North Carolina in November, 2004.
What precious memories we can never forget of the wonderful 4 years we were in RoosyRoads and at the Servicemen's Center in Ceiba. Frank's wonderful preaching and teaching were literally our family's foundation as we had only been married 5 months when we started coming to the Center. We still remember the beautiful voices and songs that Eloise and your girls provided, as well as the most scrumpious meals. Your dedication to beautifully serving the Lord and bringing salvation to literally thousands of people who passed thru Puerto Rico is truly a legacy and one that will not be forgotten. Your example for all of us on the receiving end have been challenged to continue spreading the gospel and the love of God to all we come in contact with. Truly, this is Philippians 1:6......"the good work that He began in Frank is being perfected and continued until the day of Jesus Christ." Our dear friends from the servicemen's center here in Noth Carolina are the Jim & Emily Sconyers' family and the John & Delle Clitheros' family and we have passed this on to them as well. May the Lord bless you and keep you in his tender care until we are together again. Rey & Claudia Aponte & sons

Frank and Eloise, we count you dearest among our friends. Your love and life expressed through prayers, serving and giving have influenced innumerable lives for Christ and His Kingdom. Numerous times you have encouraged us to press on when the going got hard. We believe your reward will be great, and that your single-minded service to Christ is being multiplied again and again through the people you have discipled for Him.

Brother Frank, it appears that you are nearing the finish line. Keep running toward that prize! He who promised will give it, because He is faithful.

May the Lord continue to strengthen and sustain you and Eloise, and bless your children and their families with comfort and joy.

We love you,

Jim and Debbie

Frank, Eloise and families,

We wanted you to know just how much we love your family and also have such dear memories or our few years together in Benton Harbor. One of the earliest is when Mike, Daniel and Sarah moved into our home (Jeanette and Jon's) before Phillip and I could join them, and you hauled mattresses over to the house before they got there for them to sleep on! You were always so kind to us, and were a big part in us choosing Napier Parkview as our home church.

We love you all, and know that the Lord is holding you in His hands. He is such an amazing God, and soon, Frank, you will see Him face-to-face! Amazing! We feel your families pain, but also rejoice in the knowledge of what Christ has done through your lives!

Thank you for all that you mean to us! We will continue to pray for you diligently, and will keep up with your steady reports on this sight....

Frank, Eloise and Girls:
Linda & I are so blessed that God led us to Grace Bible Church while we were stationed at Roosy (70-73).
We were also blessed to make the PR reunion and fellowship with you and your wonderful family.
But nothing can compare to the fellowship we are going to enjoy when we get to Heaven, Hallelujah.
You, Eloise and Girls are in our thoughs and prayers. We thank God for giving us the opportunity to have known such a man that "Preached The Word".
You are a true Shepherd who gathered in the flock and kept watch over them. We love ya Brother. May God wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you and your loved ones during this time, is our prayer.

Frank, So much can be said about you and your life. When we went to El Salvador together I really saw your extreme love for people but more important to you than anything even over your interest first was your unrelenting ability to find a way to share Christ in your life and how someone else can have that to. In the Bible it talks of running a race and finishing well. Frank you not only ran a very good race you are finishing well. You are a great example of Christ being able to say well done my faithfull servent. My prayers are with you Frank.

Dear Frank and Eloise and Family,
Thank you very much for the webpage as a way of staying in touch with Frank's condition. We can't believe that Frank's health has failed so rapidly; he has always been "young" for his age. I always kidded him that he was always "older" than I was although now I really look older than Frank does, and he is 30+ years older! From all the comments, it very evident to see that Frank is loved greatly by all who know him.We are amount that group also.
Frank was instrumental in both Sherry's and my salvation. He would say that after I was saved that we were now both related by family blood and also by the Blood of Jesus Christ. We are praying for you all, and know that our Lord's love, grace, comfort, and mercy can help both Frank and all of his close loved ones, as well as all of his "extended family", to get through the valley that we all are in right now.
Love, Jesse & Sherry

I must keep alive in myself the desire for my true country, which I shall not find till after death; I must never let it get snowed under or turned aside; I must make it the main object of life to press on to that other country and to help others to do the same.
C.S.LEWIS

Frank, this reminded me of you a life statement of a true spiritual warrior. I credit my friendship with your son-inlaw John to you, and the influence you had in his life. When John told Gloria and I about your ministry and the missionary work in P.R. I had to meet you, because very few people are living out their faith as they should. It has been brief but the pleasure is mine. Frank, past the pain, there is a world thats waiting to be claimed, and dying is but getting dressed for God, and our graves are merely doorways cut in sod(The divine symphony). God has truly blessed you my spiritual minded friend,

Dear Eloise and family,

We send our condolences and prayers
in Frank's passing. I remember him singing The Old Rugged Cross and the way he prayed in Jesus name, and then there was always a strong AMEN!. Thank the Lord my mother was saved under his ministry.
Love to all

Chuck Jones, son of Bob and Maria Jones, in PR 1959-1965.
